Why is homophobia so prolific?

He explains that our souls (which are neither male nor female, but both), prior to embodying, meticulously choose and design every aspect of our lives---including the gender we will inhabit, as well as our sexual preference for that given lifetime---for the purpose of bringing us into deeper levels of wholeness and self-love.
